So I know it's been a while since I uploaded anything but I really haven't had the time to do much vidding lately. Just wanted to give you all a little sneak-peak at something a little bit different.

It's a Doctor Who/Ashes to Ashes Crossover. As far as I can tell this really hasn't been done before but I don't know why: Alex is stuck in 1981- The Doctor has a Time Machine - the perfect idea for a pairing!

The story I have in mind is that Alex was studying some police files about the Doctor before she got shot in 2008 but as a Psychologist dismissed them all as fantasy. When she ends up back in 1981 after being shot she starts to get glimpses of the Doctor and realises he might be able to help her get back home. Need to flesh it out a bit- if anyone has any ideas/suggestions let me know and I may be able to use them as it's still evolving.

Hope you enjoy :)

  • what is Ashes to Ashes all about - seeing i loved all of the above too, I might like it but sadly am in Australia - fill me in!!!!

  • Basically Alex Drake is a Psychologist for the Police Force in 2008 London who gets shot on assignment one day- instead of dying she somehow ends up transported to 'another world' set in the same police station but in 1981.

  • If you've seen Life on Mars it's pretty similar- she creates the same characters as sam had done in the eairer series and she helps the police to solve cases using ideas from 2008 and she's also on a quest to get home to 2008 to see her daughter. There's a big story running through the first series where she is trying to save her parents from being killed by a bomb which happened when she was a child in 1981.

  • It's a really great show- don't know if you have had it over there yet but Series One is out on DVD on ebay :)

  • wow this looks great !

I don't know Ashes to Ashes but I really want to watch the episodes since I love Life On Mars and Gene Hunt ^^

this is a great crossover idea !

    good luck with it !

  • You have to watch Ashes! I was skeptical at first but now I love it even more than Life On Mars! Alex and Gene are so completely fabulous together- he needs a woman to keep him in line :)

  • do ashes to ashes meets eastenders

  • Brilliant I love how DI Drake looks through the window and sees The Doctor. THAT would make and interesting programme or Doctor Who meets Life on Mars as well.

  • Excellent! Very well done =o

  • Err..well I have and idea that the Doctor's not alone in 1981, that he's travelling with Martha or someone, and Alex and Martha or that someone have a bit of fight (words, not violence). Eventually, Martha walks back into the TARDIS, angry and annoyed, and tells the Doctor to come. He sees Alex, and he has to make his mind up. The woman he's barely met, or the woman he can never love?

  • Two of my favourite shows together? Of course you should do it! It looks very good so far.

  • I think that the doctor should go and see her more often. Then one day Gene Hunt sees him with her and she gets jealous or something. Then show the clip with Gene and Alex stuck in the vault or something? Up to you for my idea!

    It looks Brilliant btw!

  • I'd like it if the video starred Tom Baker who was Dr Who for most of the 80's !
