Does size matter?

YES!

In the UK the tread depth of the tyres on your car must be at least 1.6mm deep. If not, you can be fined and receive penalty points on your licence per illegal tyre!

More importantly though, as your tyres reach the end of their life their performance significantly decreases.

Tyre Spot recommend changing to new tyres when your tread depth reaches 3mm.

At 70mph on a wet road you can stop 37.3 metres (122 feet) sooner with a 3mm tread depth opposed to 1.6mm.
