@Jncs721 It was not meant to replace the F-22. But to fight beside it. The US military knows the days of air dog fighting is over. Radar is so advanced know that by the time you fire on your enemy you will be miles away befour they get hit! The jets of the future will be multi attack jets. Air to Air and Air to ground. What makes the US military Unique is its combined arms approach. In battle they might use F-35, A-10, Apache helicopter, supported by Tanks, CIA and special forces on the ground

@Jncs721 it may turn out that way, but the f35 was in development before the f22 got the axe. either way i hate to see the f15 and f16 go.they were...so elegant.
