Before you click play, I just want to make clear that this is in no way an attempt to make light of the situation in Gaza. Quite the opposite. Its a video response to the BBC Radio 4 Thought for the Day reading of January 8th, by Rev Angela Tilby. She drew comparisons between whats happening in Gaza and the Biblical story of Samson (hence the music). She could have chosen a role reversal of David and Goliath, but instead she described the Israelis and Palestinians as quarelling family members mocking each other. She seemed to have no comprehension of the horrific and utterly disproportionate nature of Israels brutal bombardment of innocent Palestinian civilians. So I edited this video together from some news footage in an attempt to make the point that whats happening to the Palestinians cannot be taken so lightly as quarelling families or the mockery Samson endured after getting a haircut.
