@OzzyFan87 Sometimes female mammals without cubs adopt cubs from other species. You can find some examples of these. I think that's the instinct of the necessity of being a mother that does not exist among reptiles and fish.

What a smart lion!  She realized that there's no meat on that little thing, so she's keeping it until it fattens up. One day, when her energy levels are low after a couple of unsuccessful and tiring hunts, she'll exercise her backup plan and invite her adopted oryx over for dinner. So smart!
