She'll Be Comin' Round The Mountain - Palmer Hughes Accordion Course, Book 2, Page 22 for Accordion Accordéon Acordeón Akkordeon Akordeon Accordian Harmonika Fisarmonica Acordeão Акордеон Аккордеон

Here is another piece that was more difficult for me to master than I thought at first it would be. I don't really know why. Perhaps it is the lively pace? The notes were easy enough to read, but for some reason I could not play the piece to tempo without mistakes. However, my desire to post a video for every practice piece in the course motivated me to keep at it. The piece is written to be sung 8 times, but I play it only twice in the video.

  • This video seems to be missing when I tried to play it Leon was it removed by you? Youtube does crazy things some times.

    Ron!

  • Yes, YouTube has been doing strange things recently. But no, I didn't remove it, and when I checked it out it played fine. My experience has been that YouTube occasionally does not respond to some videos, but then later plays them normally. I hope the problem is not getting worse. I must admit that I am amazed at the number of videos that the service makes available for viewing worldwide. Where to they put them all?

  • Brilliant playing. I loved it. Thanks for posting. 5 stars from me.

  • Thanks again for your continuing support.

  • Nice, you seem so comfortable with the left hand and belows movement compared to the earliest videos. I hope that I can get to that point someday.

  • Yes, playing this one is a bit tricky for me. I think the challenge is purely motor skill training, which takes repetition and time to build. There are a lot of things going on here that have to be done at a quick pace. Just because the mind understands the music doesn't mean the body can play it. I suspect I require more practice at my current level before progressing.

  • I forgot to mention that I tried to play it but at my actual playing level is undoubtely difficult.

  • It seems a very easy song when hearing its melodic line but it is tricky.. isn't it? because the right hand goes along two octaves of the treble keyboard, switching fingers and combining the melody with chords. The oompah movement is very precise and clear and the bass tops gives more difficulties to the overal playing.

Very well played despite I haven't felt you as confortable as usually because the tricky changes.

  • I welcome your positive feedback. Perhaps my strategy of always trying (but not necessarily always succeeding) to produce a technically perfect performance in front of the camera is beginning to pay off. If so, through this project I am discovering an important training strategy.
