  • Steele Justice and Mann & Machine, WTF was with all the Blade Runner wannabes in the early 90s?

I noticed Bryan Cranston is the voice of the male car in the Plymouth commercial. :)

  • The Blade Runner Director's Cut re-release was in '92, which might have had something to do with it.

  • What's with all of this Bakersfield material? Where'd you get this stuff?

And while I appreciate your thoroughness in trying to let us watch all of your material, was that second "Mann & Machine" promo really necessary? You really could have fudged it on that one.

Oh, and "OMG" at the fat Chimichanga lady.

  • The Bakersfield stuff is from a torrent I found of the complete (And awful) "Nightmare Cafe" TV series that had the commercials intact. This is the last volume I'll be posting of this stuff.

The Mann & Machine promos are necessary tools in understanding that while the early 90's were awesome, they weren't quite as awesome as you think.

    80's > 90's = FACT

And I thought I'd point out to everyone that these aired exactly 17 years ago today, on a Friday and everything. Isn't that incredible!?!

  • The scientists who built Eve were too embarrassed to teach her what a penis is, so she was caught off-guard when she saw one.

  • Steel Justice was a critically acclaimed show....not

  • That Newsies/Beauty and the Beast double feature (do they even do that anymore?) has stuck with me to this day--both awesome movies, made even awesomer by Newsies introducing me to the talented (and handsome) Christian Bale.

Thanks for posting all of these. it's very interesting, whether I remember the commercial or not.

  • It's bizarre now to think of Leno and Letterman being on the same network.

  • anyone notice that food commercials the portions were smaller! they werent trying to gey people to get fat and addicted to the product like they do now!

  • The first time I saw the Mann vs Machine promo, I thought it looked like utter crap. After the second, I thought it might be so bad, it's good. After this third one, I'm actually looking forward to it. Persistence pays off, I guess.

  • A car with 6 wheels AND nuclear power would be ah-mazing!

  • and 21 years later, Saturn doesn't exist.

  • i remember 2 of these so well. the burger king one, "your way, right away," and that jack in the box one. the best! i'm not too far from kern county, (i'm in the LA area.) Do you have any commercials from the NBC o&o KNBC, or KABC?
