Here is a little exotic type jam with my OLP MM1 - it has a Dimarzio Fred at the Bridge and an Air Norton at the Neck. I am playing through my new Zoom G9.2TT
@krelbar Yeah, I wouldn't exactly call it fizz but the zoom g9 had very ugly fizz when going super heavy. The lighter fusion type distortions were good. Especially for lead but heavy, prog like distortions were extremely oversaturated. The Line 6 sounded better to me. It all about preference really.
@narshadda Of all the mfx I've tried, The G9 is the only one where there isn't really any digital "fizz" on the distortions. I was just saying that maybe you like the Line 6 distortions because that may be what makes the distortions sound heavier to you.
@robnybody The zoom was a great effects pedal. If you are into classic rock, jazz, fusion or stuff that doesn't require really heavy distortion then the zoom is perfect. The POD XT live has the flexibility of the zoom, add tons of great sounding distortion, ease of use and better quality for recording if you ask me.
@aaronprien The zoom was awesome, but I wanted something with a little heavier distortion and better recording capabilities. The POD XT Live is amazing and is much easier to use than the Zoom in my opinion. As soon as I played the POD XT Live I was hooked on line 6 gear!

@krelbar Maybe its just been a while but where did fizz come into play

@narshadda heavier distortion=more fizz? I think the most endearing quality of the Zoom is the LACK of fizz.
