Here is the vintage 1973 family Christmas tree. I remember my folks getting this tree at the neighborhood K-mart and the $9.97 special they were running on it. Below the tree is one of those trains that ride in a circular track around the tree. Some of the ornaments are family keepsakes that go back to the 1940's. I'm still old school and enjoy the old type lights with the vintage reflectors on them. Take a look and a listen and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  • i wonder if someone ever had a cold and was blowing their noses and putting ornaments on the tree.it must have happened a few times at least cuz the oraments are so old.

  • @butterflygreatone I'm sure it did which would mean that there are probably still germs on those ornaments dating back to the thirties. Thanks for watching!

  • I just found a few good strands of c9 blinkers ans old c7's at a thirft!

  • @placesigopeopleimeet Great to hear! Nothing like the vintage lights. Thanks for watching!

  • Yes, I think I remember those. Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video. Much appreciated!

  • Yeah, that is exactly what they used to look like. Halloween. I have a bunch of orange lights in the kitchen and it always reminds me of Halloween.

  • I think they are c7's. Yep, the good old days. Those bulbs sure get hot. LOL

  • forgot to mention I found a set of c9 lights with the old tan cloth wire and the black hoky sockets. do you remember the old frosted c7 bulbs? my granma used to have those with the red/green braided wire strings!

  • ya know, I remember the old mini petal reflector lights. What was funny was when if you had the color reflectors and put the wrong colored bulb in it when one burned out.....looked more like halloween then!

  • were they old c7's or c9's? the newer bulbs dont get as hot. what happened to the good old days of dried out pine needles and hot christmas lights?
