http://bit.ly/szn0KJ - Located high in the Grampian mountains, Dalwhinnie distillery uses age-old methods to produce fine single malt whisky. Join Olly Smith as he finds out how it's made.

When it comes to malt whiskies, there's a whole range of styles to enjoy, everything from light and floral through to rich and smoky and the exciting thing is that, depending on the location and heritage of the distillery, each whisky is completely unique.

Olly says, 'I've come here to Dalwhinnie in the heart of the Grampian mountains. Not only is it one of the highest distilleries, it's also one of the coldest inhabited places in Scotland.'

  • I have lovely memories of this particular distillery.I made a visit here about 5 years ago following the Scotch Whisky Trail and fell in love with this particular malt,I purchased 2 bottles on my visit and I now always make sure I have at least 1 bottle in my drinks cabinet. I have promised myself another visit to the area as soon as it is possible,a promise I intend to keep
