Burdette Phenicie
Age 75, of Onsted, passed away, December 6, 2009. He was born, April 13, 1934, in Ogden Center, MI, the son of William & Helen (Leader) Phenicie. Burdette was a truck driver for over 50 years. He was an active member of the American Truck Historical Society along with being a member of the Adrian Moose. Burdette loved driving his restored 1970 Dodge Semi along with being a NASCAR fan. He was a member of the Onsted American Legion.
He is survived by his children: Susan Burnett, Randy (Geraldine) Phenicie and Nicole Straub, five granddaughters, three great granddaughters, two sisters; Betty (Junior) Bliesner and Beverly (Paul) Lightfoot, three brothers; Robert (Emma) Phenicie, Bruce (Lynn) Phenicie and Burton (Marilyn) Phenicie and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons; Burdette Jr. and Robin Lee and two brothers William and James. Viewing will be on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Cremation will follow. Memorial services will be 2:30 PM on Wednesday at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, with Rev.
