On my study-abroad my group did a desert tour roughly 50km outside of Abu Dhabi. It was probably one of the greatest things I did in Abu Dhabi (besides Ferrari World). They let you check out some camels then take you off roading for well over a half-hour. They stop a few times to let you check out the desert landscape. Then they take you to a little compound where they let you snowboard on a sand dune, eat an arabian BBQ, watch a belly dancer, and then smoke Shisha/Hooka before they kill the lights to let you look at the stars. Oh yeah, you get to ride a camel!
