Funny how lie detectors have NOT been proven to work, therefore aren't used in courts of law, but of all people, Jeremy Kyle has managed to get a hold of one.

There is a psychological bit to this. Physical tests on people can cause stress to the individuals being tested on, and it's this test that causes skin resistance, change in blood pressure and sweat. So these lie detector tests may be picking up indicators to equipment-induced stressed, rather than nervous tensions.
