Me cruising down old spicewood springs road in Austin Texas(slightly inturrupted by construction) in my 2007 Subaru WRX TR. "Mods" include SPT intake, SPT cat-back exhaust, STi springs, and STi short shifter. First time driving down this road in my subaru. fastest time in my civic was 5:13 - Seen here, even with construction delays - my time was 4:45ish? without pushing it throughout the whole road. Deffinantly can do alot better.

  • man u gotta learn how to get outta first gear

  • thats almost all 3rd-4th gear. 1st spools super-fast and is only good upto 30mph-ish(at about 5500rpms - red line 6500)

  • did you even break the speed limit? and how did you have the camera mounted

  • the speed limit is 35 - i was doin around 70-75 on certain parts. and its ghetto mounted with an old football belt. the clicking took me a lil bit to figureout - but it was the plastic ball on the cord for the camera.

  • @phuse99 , the thing about redbud/westlake area is there are cops everywhere that will not hesitate to write you a hefty ticket or arrest you for w.e b.s. to this day i have never seen a cop on old spicewood springs. not sayin they dont venture down the road. but i personally have never seen one.

  • I used to like city park, but now a days it's kind of a newbie road. Westlake is where it is at in the 360 area. road is very hard to keep acceleration going through the downhill section

  • Shut up, it's the Hill country. It's pretty damn common out in west austin. Go be a good Samaritan elsewhere.

  • I think this route is better. Off 360 next stoplight north of Pennybacker Bridge take Courtyard west then turn left on City Park. You can also take Pierce once you're in there. Lots of twisties there. Or thru Westlake to Redbud Trail which leads to Lake Austin Blvd, although a bit more traffic.

  • Good times...I ran this road in my GSR the other day and I'm pretty sure I beat this time lol

  • right on - wasnt really trying to race down it, just fuckin around. 2AD's it does look slow, i agree - but im doin between 55-75 most of the time, believe it or not

  • This was a time trial? Was the camera stuck in slow-motion or something, at most points you barely appeared to be moving. =P And Nigmar, I'm not really sure why we don't have any videos up showing this road. This is one of the few roads in Austin I really love.

  • Mike you had better watch out for the Blue STI that owns that area. It belongs to my friend and he flies down that road at 90 for fun.

  • Posting times on a public road, stop acting like that's track. I hope you don't run into some innocent people and crash into them.
