Outstanding performance of I Am The Walrus, one of my absolute Beatles favourites by tribute band Rain in Cologne. Recorded on 17th of July if you wonder.
Please watch my video of A Day In The Life aswell - I really enjoyed seeing them very much!

  • I just saw them on Saturday in Wallingford, CT. They were amazing! "I Am The Walrus" is one of my faves and they performed it flawlessly! Every song was spot on! I will definitely go and see them again. Picked up Live One and Two while I was there, and have been playing them as my background music at work. I can't say enough good things about these guys! :)

  • Is it any good to have a live cd of Rain if you can aswell listen to the originals?

I didn't quite get that on the night...

    So, what's the difference?

  • @knuble Perhaps because people like to listen to these songs live? Songs such as this one were not performed live by the Beatles and the ones that were are obviously not recorded in such good quality.

  • @TheKrammerhead Ok i see your point. the thing is, Rain are playing the songs the exact way they are on the album, which is fun to look at, but the beatles wouldn't have played them like this live, i'm quite sure.

one can't simulate what songs would have become played live, because the one great thing about seeing your favorite band live is that you listen to what became to the songs since they were released on album. Rain can copy what the Beatles recorded but they are far from the real thing.

  • If you ever get to see one show in your lifetime, and miss the real Beatles, this is the show to see, and hear. They are near perfect in sounding like the Beatles and looking like them, also.

Rain well leave you feeling that the Beatles still live.

lol. I got my bad already to go for this weekends show. -_-

bless the herb. bless metallica as well.

  • it was acually recorded on September 5, 1967

  • I think the Fab Four are better.

  • i am the egg plant, you are the egg plant, they are the egg plant, BUT THEY'RE NOT THE BEATLES :))

i guess it's good that they are keeping the music alive, but i'd rather listen to originals

  • @knuble Yes

  • @knuble But it's as close as we're gonna get so why not enjoy it.

  • i want to go to them but i dont wanna be annoyed with the pot smoking someone please tell me if there is alot of that

  • @knuble I understand your point as well. However, there can never be the real thing ever again, so there is nothing wrong with going to watch a reasonable facsimile. As for buying a live CD? Perhaps the listener can enjoy the applause between songs and imagine they are at a Beatles concert? Whatever makes people happy is okay by me.

  • i saw them last night, they were AMAZING, i almost believed i was at a beatles concert, minus the horrible screaming. plus, its as close to the beatles as im going to get, right? =) but they really were awesome.
