The Refugee Youth Project

The Walters Art Museum collaborates with the Refugee Youth Project that is sponsored by the Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) to teach young Baltimore refugees how to express themselves through art and how look at art and discuss it. The Walters Art Museum does not give the children art history lessons but the museum does encourage the them to discuss the works of art so they can feel more confident not only talking about art, but to also feel more confident when speaking English.
