It's much easier to fight 5x when there is no drug testing at all and you're fighting one dimensional fighters and no athletic commissions handing out suspensions. When has the UFC ever been scrutinized for fixing fights?. Pride has and it's no shocker when they're connected to the yakuza lol. You're really something, everyone knows that moron. Guess what though who is still running there business ROFL.
@Gurpreet25 The fought on average 5x a year in Pride, in the UFC fighters typically fight 2x in a year. Its really not a hard concept to see why Pride fighters are jacked up today. Oh yea fixing fights, the UFC has been under scrutiny for that too so don't pull that. Pride was actually bigger than the UFC until the UFC bought them, if you don't believe me then do your own research.
@Gurpreet25 Wow typical UFC fan, u probably don't know half the MMA fighters on the Pride roster. BTW the pride HW division was far more stacked than the UFC HW division at the time. What you had TIm Sylvia, Arlovski, Herring (later), Frank Mir, etc. Fedor beat 3 of the UFC' best HW at that time. Funny how Brock is praised for beating a Herring that had 44 fights to a decision who wasn't even ranked, but Fedor finished Herring, was 50 lbs smaller, was the underdog, and Herring was a top 10 HW
I was noting how frank mir while dazed was able to out class nog on the ground so easily. The only reason he was able to flip mir was because he committed his body and arm to torque that kimura. Brock on the other hand is a wrestler who won't let mir try to look for a scramble at all. Submitting cans in pride is something to be proud of. Fighting freak fights in pride with no drug testing, oh the glory days of pride. Oh yea and fixing fights ROFL.
Same pride excuse over and over again. OMG THIS GUY IN HIS PRIME WAS SOOOOOOO GOOD DURING THE ERA WHERE MMA WAS ONE DIMENSIONAL. The thing with the UFC is they don't have you fight all these cans like fedor did. Nog in pride had horrible striking but now nog has worked on his striking and has become more fluent. It's not great but he would destroy nog from pride. Randy couture even noted how the sport evolved and him now would destroy the randy back then.
How do you know prime fedor isn't the same fedor?. All we know is that he faced better competition and sport evolved. Fedor taking down cro cop in the ground then striking with him when he gasses isn't out striking. He didn't beat coleman by taking him down, I think you've been with too many fedor fan boys.
@Gurpreet25 So yea Mir taps Frank Mir, props to Frank Mir, but that doesn't take away Nogs BJJ. At the same time Nog was able to get back to his feet from half guard while having a 260 lbs Mir on top of him, which Mir was not able to do against Lesnar. Like I said props to Mir. if I am correct he has more wins by submission than any one in MMA history. 20 wins via submission. Fedor 16 wins by submission.
@Gurpreet25 Yea Nog sucks so bad especially since he is way out of his prime and still almost beat Frank Mir. BTW expert Nog has had 2x as many fights as Mir in an organization that had less rules and weight restrictions. Mir was almost knocked out by Nog who has barely passable striking.
@Gurpreet25 You are missing the point. Chuck is praised for knocking people out, but Chuck never fought many quality strikers. Yea Fedor if knocked out grapplers and subbed strikers than yea it wouldn't be that impressive. But in pride Fedor beat the best at their best. He beat Nog (prime), Coleman, Randleman etc, on the ground. He beat stood toe to toe with a prime crocop standing when no one could do it at that time. If you think Nog's BJJ is over rated than go look up his credentials then talk
