well he's a typical rookie only (started playing basketball late) but in fairness to him..he is a fast learner;.melo was one of the few real 7 footers in the draft who also happened to block shots (2nd in the draft). that's big with the celtics; considering they use their role players and how they are a defensive oriented team. that's all boston needs him to do really. he's not going to be a do-all center (like there are any in the nba anyway).plus he's fairly athletic and he runs the floor well
