I have one of these but it seems to be a factory 4 string conversion.... it has plugs in the headstock where the other 4 tuners were supposed to be.... check my Hagstrom bass vid and check out the headstock... the body is exactly the same as this one.

The Schecter Studio 8-string is what to get now... killer everything and not expensive. What a deal.

My pappa is Andy Kulberg. This kid rocks. I remember my dad as a flute player. I knew he was a bass player but i didnt know the 8 string bass was a new thing when he stated playing. My dad passed away almost ten years ago, and i just learned something new about him. Thank you keep it up. Much love

@runamuk2020 Good to hear from you. Glad it was something new for you. We're just trying to keep the old story alive of the original Hagstrom Guitars from Sweden. As for the young guy, he's now 17 taller than his parents, and still playing and teaching all kinds of music stuff around the south coast of the UK with bass, guitar, drums and almost anything else he can find!.

Those are some really awesome guitars & basses! What kind is that one behind on the chair?

It's an H-III or F300 from 1967. See the Hagstrom UK website for pics and info on all these old guitars and basses.

Bound to sound crap if you don't know how to play it. See th list of users top right. Line 6 and others have H-8 emulators now for bass.
