I just couldn't help myself...I had to see all 12 of the new Distress Inks in one place....specifically in my studio! I thought I would share with you all the little experiment I did with each one -- plain and embossed! Check out the cool new colors!

  • So here's a question for you Jann, I'm going to get the Jenni Bowlin inks and will get more of the Distress inks can you tell me how you use the two inks, do you use them similar or different?

    Thanks,

    Robin :)

  • @RobinCreativeCottage Hey Robin...I use them pretty interchangeably...for instance, I use Jenni's inks on my craft mat like I would the Distress Inks. Here are the two biggest different ways that I use them...I really use Distress Inks to "age" paper and elements... and I use Jenni's inks when I want a softer more "shabby chic" look than grungy or Distressed. I really love them both...and am sure you will too!

  • Love your video... this is going to sound so dumb... but I've never embossed with the distress inks and didn't realize that impressive color difference... Love It!!!! The swatch idea is brilliant! Have you tried the Jenni Bowlin inks? I'm looking to get those... but now I need more Distress Inks!

  • @RobinCreativeCottage Totally not a dumb at all...I only discovered it when I thought I had color matched some paper and then saw the dramatic difference when I embossed it...so now - regardless of the brand of ink - I make these little swatches to refer to - because it happens with almost every kind of ink - and you just can't predict.

I LOVE Jenni Bowlin inks...particular because she has some "clear" colors that you just don't get w/ the Distress Inks...they stamp GREAT - I highly recommend.

  • good for you buy ing all the colors of ink at once..What fun.. i would like them all too!1 just keep dreaming girl..thanks for sharing all the wonderful colors..

  • @frenchpossum You would have great fun! I am now about to purchase several of his new Distress Stains....a friend gave me one - and I LOVE IT....so many cool techniques....so watch for a video on those soon! Hope you have some happy creative time this weekend!

  • Thanks for sharing. I now know which ones I want and which ones I don't (since I can't afford all of them, I have t choose, so this makes it much easier!)

  • i bought 2 yesterday theyre great to work with but have super stained my fingers and i tried getting it off with soap and water no luck

  • @carla9886 You are so right! I have used (and reinked) all of these stamps - the cost has been totally justified....so glad I got them all at once! Have a crafty weekend!
