The actress who played the secretary is Jean Arthur. I'm not sure if Drew Barrymore was inspired by her or just the look of the 1920's, but I find that look quite appealing.

I really enjoyed Seven Chances too. The chase scene is definitely a series of going from bad, to worse, to even worse. It's funny how in nearly all of BK's movies, he manages to have a steam train in a scene or two.
