  • Pictures or examples of the various collar types would help!

  • @LoStNuMbEr1989 I agree -- we're working on getting more images into the videos. So far it's been a pretty bare-bones studio, but it's always improving!

  • pictures would help....

  • @kingdl111 I know - would you be interested in editing work. I pay with thank yous :)

  • awesome video Mike.

a small question please, but how do you measure your collar angles? I heard you speak about 90 Degree angles, 70-60 etc..

    Thank you!

  • @modo203 Mike - who's Mike? I lay the collar out and measure with the top button buttoned, using a 90 degree right triangle as the base guide.

  • @chanstennis2 I've heard that rumor but I wasn't there so I take it with a grain of salt:) And yes, it has a preppy feel to it.

  • The button down collar was actually invented by Brooks Brothers. One of the early founders of Brooks Brothers went to England and noticed that the collars of polo players would flap back into their faces in the wind. He designed the button down collar and took it back home with him where it became a huge success. Also, do you think the button down collar has a more preppy look than a traditional collar?

  • @MichaelTV91 Thank you Michael - I look forward to it!

  • @FlowersInHisHair Ahhh - how could I miss that! The only thing that might save me is that not all tab collars have the tab - many of the ones I've cut are made to stand close to the neck on their own!

    Thanks for the comment!
