Here is a Mock Start up to Scottish Television from the 1970's Test Card is slightly out of the date range as this is one used for Nicam Broadcasts and the voice over is from the old 405 transmittions but it is the first one I have tired. Please leave comments.

  • Does ayone remembe this??

  • @MrHarrycoulter you would be surprised how many folk remember this Scotlandia was actually used until STV's birthday in 1985 when the thistle was introduced. When TV-am's end time was changed to 09:25 around 1983 STV used the IBA caption with the end segment of the scotlandia music to start the day.

  • What military-sounding music!

  • Yes it is Scotlandia a piece written for STV and used for many many years as there startup music. Only stopped using it in about 1988 after we got Breakfast Television
