Watching this game live was incredible: Koreans were so passionate about hosting the World Cup and proud to play weel against France before the World Cup began. They looked better than expected and you could feel the excitement in the stands. I met my husband (we're both Irish American) at this game and I think the aura added to our budding romance. Thanks World Cup 2002!
Koreans do NOT play dirty. Their Dutch coach made them tough. Was very proud to be American as well during '02.

slightly biased video, cut off the rest of the game when France scored 2 late goals and won 3-2, I remember being angry and saying ㅅㅂ 뒤가리가 대가리로 골넣었네
and can people stop bitching about Italians and Koreans being dirty Korea was physical back then, not dirty, Italy had (not really anymore...) some classy defenders like Nesta Maldini Cannavaro back then, but also idiots like Francesco Coco and Marco Materazzi.
