LOSE THAT CAPO! You don't have to play this tune as though your guitar got emasculated in a lawn mower accident. I play this in Drop D to give the guitar a full sound and deep bottom end. I also add an alternating bass line and use some of the real estate reclaimed from the capo, to go up an octave on the arpeggios in the bridge. On "Abbey Road" they cover 5 octaves, so playing the arpeggios in the same octave several times in a row seems pretty monotonous, at least IMHO. I am waiting for some enterprising kid with a deep cut-away guitar to go 3 octaves -- and show it on youtube!
