A demonstration of a simple iTunes utility QC composition exploiting the Composition Importer patch.
The three visualisations displayed are the fruits of my attempts to re-create the working functionality of the OpenCL dependent Aurora music visualizer code sample, the workings of which can be found here 1 .
These visualizations, however, employ Kineme's GLTools. They are 10.5 and 10.6 compliant and only require that the user has the completely free of charge GLTools, version 1.4, the latest production release, installed.
The original screen capture was done in Jing Pro, re-synced with the audio in GarageBand and exported via QuickTimePro.
The overall idea I had with these Aurora inspired items was to exploit the camera rotations, 3D transformations and translations upon GL Tools graphical objects.
A tutorial follows, to be posted at a later date.
do you know if there's a way to make quartz composer react to live audio?
