In a sad and shameful episode of American history, in the 1830s, thousands of Cherokee men, women, and children were removed from their homes in the Southeastern United States and forced to march over a thousand miles to what is now Oklahoma. Over 4,000 died as a result of the removal. The route they took and the journey itself has become known as "The Trail of Tears," or, the literal translation from the Cherokee, "The Trail Where They Cried." This song by WAR RAVEN (aka JD Droddy) pays tribute to the VICTIMS of that tragedy. • my great gramama crossed the Trail Of Tears she was Cherokee

  • This is a time in the History of the US. which in many ways is darker than the issue of Slavery.

  • "Adahy" my quest is to I lighten as many as I can , on my time left .Wado

  • mis respeto maximo a los nativos verdaderos americanos yo soy un nativo latino al sur del peru

  • Everyone who knows of this event is surely deeply moved as it's another example of man's inhumanity to man.

The subsequent assistance of the Cherokee and Choctaw tribes to the Irish will never be forgotten.

  • This is beautiful and it does remind you of a time when sadness overcame the lovely way of life. If only more people would listen with their hearts.
