Some raw footage taken from a Kawasaki ZRX1200R Filmed with a Kodak Playsport (ZX3) mounted to the tank with a Delkin Fat Gecko.

Audio is crap .. wind noise is pretty severe .. must try it with something over the microphone next time

Filmed at 720p 60FPS - A note to anyone mounting on a motorcycle . . . Ensure the EIS is off as it does not handle the high speed vibrations very well ... This works well for hand held, but not mounting.

Very happy with the camera, please check out my channel for other videos with the Kodak Playsport

  • Nice video how fast were u going

  • @Anthony475736 About 60km/h ;-)

  • alright buddy, stick a piece of sponge under the suction cup apparently it removed most of the vibration (5cm thick squeezed down)

I am about to buy one of the geckos but was going to just get the single one is the double one that much better?

    cheers

  • @adamsturney The double one does give heaps more stability. I had a mate that bought the single and it was too light and shook real bad. Also, dunno what you mean about sticking a piece of sponge under the suction cap .... it wouldnt hold if I did that

  • where'd you film this?

  • @valetdabess

    Pitt Street, Sydney ..

  • I have this exaxct same model and I am thrilled at the quality of the 720 @ 60fps!

Looks better than many others not even close in the same price range. I think it retails for about 150 dollars but I picked mine up at a pawn shop for 60 bucks and it had a 16 gig SD card it! 2 main complaints tho.....#1..the audio is absolutley the worst I have ever heard of from any camcorder I have ever owned..#2.. the vibration and shakiness is the worst. Shame for such pic quality, Ill try the sponge trick.

  • The camera did surprising well. The CMOS imager in these cameras do not handle vibration well without some considerable skew which CMOS sensor are known for.

  • Man...the place is just beautiful. It makes me wanna move out from chicago.

  • Why doesn't this video have the option viewing full 1080p HD? It would be nice if you could mount the PlaySport Zx3 inside your helmet, to give a perspective of what the rider sees. At the same time, you can narrate, comment, talk about anything while recording and riding. Can you use the Windows Movie Maker 2.6 to edit the videos from the Kodak? If not, what editing software would you recommend and use? Some editing software allow to stabilize the video.
