Part two. Operation and performance demonstration of Everlast,'s PowerArc 140 ST. The 140 is a inverter based DC stick/ lift start tig unit. Dual voltage capability allows unit to run on either 120 or 240V input with 50-60 Hertz.. Comparable units range from the TA S-95 to the Miller Maxstar 150. The unit affords economical operation and easy use.

  • Many inverters including this one work with cellulose rods like the 6011. We have other inverters that work well with both 6010 and 6011. Some won't for sure. But there's no issue with 6011 unless you are using a junk rod. This was using Lincoln Fleetweld.

Some standard transformer welders will not weld 6010. Its all in the voltage.

  • I usually end up using about 140-145 amps for a 1/8 7018. If not, the slag doesn't get pushed out of the way well enough and slag inclusions result at the edges of the bead. But if it works for you, that's all that matters.

  • 6013 work better on an inverter machine, 6011 and 6010 behave very differently off of a inverter than a standard welding power souce
