@djkidtich we don't think were better than you, we are just more intelligent by fact

We will be the ones moving the world. We will be the ones running the businesses providing you basic services. We will invent the things that make your life function. We are Atlas. We can shrug.

What right does anybody have to tell a kid that the other kid is naturally better than you and deserve praise while you don't. Gifted is a made up word. Step down from your tower and be with the normal folk who have to actually deal with an inconvenince. Happiness on a platter to these ass holes. I hate gifted kids.

@nippe011 Well, what do you consider "intelligent", then?
-
@BoredomGrey what do you mean with a "gifted program"?
And yes, everyone has their stenghts and weaknesses, but there is difference. And when your are (or almost are) so 'gifted' or intelligent, as them in the video, it can be really hard to fit in, if the people surounding you, doesn't accept it, and it's ofen seem that they don't

@nippe011 While I agree that it's more difficult to fit in if your in a "Gifted Program" of sorts (I knew it was hard, people kept calling me a nerd and chose me last always for team sports in gym class even if they have no idea whether or not I'm good at the sport)... everyone is gifted in someway, aren't they? Anyone can be exceptional.

im gifted but i have kinda bad grades because i also have a.d.d., and my classes are too easy, so i get bored and daydream, and also school stresses me out so i get sick a lot and it throws me behind :(

@XdisXesXwhyXimXhawtX yeah, it's sad. Many gifted kids actually tries to hide their intelligence as a try to be more normal, but not everyone does that though.
And when your'e a gifted child, it can be reallt difficult to fit in, for example in a normal school class or so, because your'e mentally older than your classmates, and your'e ofen sensitive too.

but i don't thing so......
What about the kids whose giftedness isn't embraced? Isn't it possible for them to develop emotional problems and learning disabilities as they get older?

Yes - gifted kids (and adults) may suffer in various ways if they are not acknowledged as being exceptional, and supported to help nurture their talents.
