grrrrr!!! - advocating for circumcising baby boys in the USA. when adults insist genital cutting is GOOD for innocent babies - cuter, cleaner, easier - it's a sickness called Munchausen Syndrome. who has it? doctors, nurses, snooty valley girls and other 'well meaning' people who try to convince parents to cut his perfect, HEALTHY peepee NOW, "for his own good"... just in case something bad happens someday... like he gets cancer when he is 75...which has a one in 100,000 chance of happening.

The biggest manipulation is anybody or anything that tries to make us feel like we are powerless, victims. We have the power to change things. It just happens slowly and is a lot like watching a cut heal. You never notice it happening but one day you look down and it's healed.

"Do a commercial, you're off the artistic roll call. Every word you say is suspect, you're a corporate whore ...end of story." Bill Hicks

well drizzle is a pretty sexy word.

My favorite subtle manipulations are those hospital/treatment center comercials on TV. By the time the music ends I want nothing more than to be in the hospital! Or suffering with cancer & to move half-way across the country to a facility I have to sell my house to afford but since I am probably going to die at least my days will be full of hope & understanding. and being treated like an individual ! --Uh, oh - I think that foam flinging out of the sides of yer mouth Lee is 'catchy'!!

'Today the food court just smells like SAD...' Love it!. I like this guy, ever since he spoke the words 'festival of ignorance' on live TV News...

But Lee; I need the nipple tassels.

Read "American Newspeak". it's chock full of this shit

The boob-box news has nothing to say but they keep you watching by telling what they are going to tell you before the first commercial. Then they tell you and after the last commercial they tell you what they told you. How could you survive if you hadn't tuned in to learn who designed that star's dress, or what the latest trouble the politicians have got into in their private lives?

I'm late to the party but I have a favorite manipulation. It's the fact that movies have become really long advertisements. Picture a horror movie where John (or Jane) Smith is rushing home to use his MacBook Pro, to Google the back story on the ancient Indian burial ground he disturbed because he were too busy talking on his BlackBerry Curve to notice he was driving his 2011 Scion tC right into it.
I hate being manipulated into thinking I NEED the nipple tassels...

Lee: Anything by Frank Luntz .If there's a Republican crisis, he's been the man (mostly for the Republicans, but he'll work for anybody). His first big one was the "Contract With America". But, because of him, "drilling for oil" became "exploring for energy",
George Carlin turned me on to "pre" before a word. LIke being "pre-approved" for a credit card? Means "not yet approved".George asked about airline announcements "What does it mean to 'pre-board'? To get on before you get on?"

@danafriedman64 Yep, Luntz is a horrible man. He was behind the PR for the GOP push to kill health care. And yes, Carlin said it all.

Your clips should be used on every alarm clock in the USA to manipulate and wake everyone up.
