This is some raw footage of the big waves in Waimea bay in the north shore of Oahu, hawaii. they were supposed to be 60 foot, but didn't get so big till the 8th.

Damn! I mean, I think some of those are 30 foot plus waves. I've been out on some big days, and seen some big freak waves, but these entire sets go beyond anything I've ever seen. And looking at the whitewash, it makes me wonder what the hell the guys do when they get caught on the inside - insane swirling back currents there. Crazy, great vid.
