And for crying out loud would muslim countries stop comparing themselves to the west and actually tackle the decadence in their own backyards. It's so easy to feel superior to others, but these same western countries exhibit values that are most times not to be found in these muslim countries.

I think a lot of these religious scholars in their naivety unwittingly portray a negative image of the religion even when they sincerely believe they are propagating the truth. I'm a muslim woman, and I do understand that it's not all the time a woman wants to have sex, but I have NEVER refused my husband even when I'm not in the mood, likewise he has NEVER refused me anything that is within his means. Marriage is about give and take, and man and wife are equal partners.

I agree women should want to do it or its direspectful ,its a type of rape if u think about it the woman will feel violated ..there´s no pleasure in that ,its like at times we men dont want sex cause of whatever reason we come up with..if a man doesnt respect his wife´s decisions then they dont deserve to b .If the women never wants to have sex then obviosly she doesnt find the man 2 b sexy then they should not b.. hey its good to learn bout different religions this is sad to watch.

i've also studied world religions in college. i had a fantastic professor, but the curriculum did not include the way religion mistreats women. it was when i started traveling abroad and researching beyond the classroom that i learned.

honor killing is a disgrace. as are all the ways in which women are killed at the hands of men who think a woman's worth is less than their own. It's also a disgrace to women the world over if we target one religion as the root cause of their oppression.

you assume that i havent already. when you assume you make an ASS out of you and me. i studied all religions in college, and got an a in the courses i might add. and i am female. bashing . i didnt see her or myself bashing anyone. stop trying to look like you know everything. it makes you look like a retard.

i do not participate in the childish, divisive bashing of cultures. try doing some research on how all religion mistreats/disrespects women. or just try researching how women are maltreated, even without religion being a factor. nuff said...
