Sorry this video is so long, but I couldn't keep cutting. I had about 40 minutes of video and they were very comfortable with our presence. This footage was taken by me in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The music is by All Star African Drum Ensemble and African Tribal Orchestra.
UPDATE: I was sad to learn that the baby gorilla in this video passed away. There is a new baby gorilla in the group now that was born in July 2010. Support MGVP. Those vets dedicate their lives to ensure the best care and well-being for the gorillas possible. Thanks for watching

The Mubare group lost this beautiful baby gorilla after I shot this footage. It is so important that we work to keep these gentle giants from extinction.

Were you in Buhoma or Ruhijah? I just made the same trek myself from /buhoma, it was one of the best experiences of my life! Do you remember the name of your gorilla group?

@samhaspowers Obed says the group name at the beginning of the video. They are the Mubhara group and he also gives the names of the individual gorillas in the group. I recommend that you support MGVP. They have been instrumental in maintaining the health of these Kings!

The length was great! I could watch them for much longer. Awesome footage! I love the way the mother pats her baby's back while holding her/him close. Such powerful creatures yet so gentle with the babies. Thank you so much for sharing this. I envy you the experience of seeing them in their natural habitat. A real treat to view!
