Real rock. This is why they can't sell music today because no one is making music like this today.
My all time fave guitar solo, it just bloody rocks.

I first heard TRB in the winter of 1977/1978 when I was living in Scotland. Wow, talk about an adrenaline rush! To me, it's sad that this song is still so relevant today, in 2011. Tom always wrote great lyrics!

Tom Robinson was one of the best lyricists of the late seventies New Wave (his slant was generally topical). He championed rock against racism, freedom of speech, the disabled, homosexuals (of course), socialism and other worthy causes.

@TheKenfig yes..but compare it to the acclaim the likes of the Sex Pistols got and you'll get where I'm coming from..either way, a great album.

@kylereese2000 Yes they did, but their second album was poor compared to the first, there were personnel problems and soon the band broke up

Just found the documentary you loaded up, including the live footage from Oxford in 1979. I had forgotten just how good you were live. Fantastic stuff.

Hi Tom,
Great that you've loaded these up. Saw you and the band in Oxford in 79, with Stiff Little Fingers in support, absolutely classic gig.
