@venturesagogo I'm very late on this,but since Mexico is on the metric system,K-39 refers to the 39 kilometer exit south of the border on Baja's Highway 1,a popular surfing spot. It has since been renamed K-38 because of reconstruction.

I read somewhere that the title "K-39" was named because these guys were surffin' 39 miles south of the USA boarder... Have you heard that before???

I have this original song on an LP that's thrashed... I'd love to hear the original again!!! However, you guys sound almost just like the original!!! You guys rock!!! My dad and I used to listen to this song over and over again!!! Brings back great memories!! A+A+A+A+A+
