  • This is really dull knife - after you sharpen knife properly - try with bigger paper (A4) or newspaper - more realistic test

  • @knowyourknife realistic? lol, the paper isnt imaginary..I kno what your saying, but 99.9% of people would be happy with an edge that cna cleanly slice through printer paper, anything that slices through newsprint is for a knife nut...but if you want "real" watch ym videos of me whittleing human hair, that puts newspaper cutting to shame

  • I was watching a knife reviewing and the guy said that cutting paper is the quickest way to dull a knife...is that true?? Because I found it hard to believe

  • well the quickest way to dull a knife is to cut concreate, lol, but jokign aside yes paper will dull a knife VERY quickly...

  • Why is that..I dont get it, its paper how would paper dull a knife quickly? Btw I bought my first good knife which is a ontario rat 1, getting it tuesday...Cant wait!!

  • remember paper is just a really thin piece of wood, lol...

  • @cutlerylover This is really nice. I'm sure that you are knife sharpening expert and you can do all kinds of miracles with your knife but this knife is dull. Sorry.

  • Try with bigger paper (A4) or newspaper - more realistic test

  • This may be a very stupid question but, if you can dull a knife with paper, why can't you sharpen knifes with paper?

  • @cutlerylover all of my knives can do that...want some pointers?

  • if I want to test the sharpness of my knife, I always carve wood, is that a good test?

  • Just got the #8 Stainless Steel and a #10 Carbon Steel versions, and I have to say that the #10 is pretty nice size, the #8 tends to be somewhat small IMO.

  • im having the same with the same signs
