I've wanted to get out of the rap genre for my covers for awhile so I decided to be ridiculous and cover some wubwubwubwubwub. Overhead camera was out for this run because A.) there werent any huge fills that it would be needed for B.) I'm waiting on a new memory card for it. I can't wait to hear everyone yell at me for hitting my cymbals too hard but I had a lot of fun! Hope you guys like it!

Shoutouts to Justin for the condensor mic and John for lending me a camera

Front facing camera is an iPhone 4. Side angle camera is a Canon Vixia HFS10. Audio track was recorded with a single AKG Perception 120 Condensor Mic. Ran it through Garageband over the main track and edited them together in Audacity. Video edited with Adobe Premier 4 (shoutouts to Nick Danty) It all came together quite nicely and I'm VERY pleased with the finish product. Hope you all enjoy!

You need different drum heads... if they're resonating too badly try out a drier set up... Evans makes some kick ass super dry heads.. the black looks cool but generally sounds bad

@470Sailor902 made this video right before I changed them and also before I mounted the mic over my kit instead of in front of it. I don't do it for the look of the heads, I get a sound I'm happy with out of these.

Erm, I just want to point out that I'm not trying to sound like a hater, but it seems that the bursts of double pedal are not played by you :/

Your left foot only opens the HH, and doesn't play the double pedal, and there doesn't seem to be one.

I'd like to say again that I'm not flaming but I just want to ask are you playing the bursts or not?

@sneeki101 no I am not, nor was I even using a double pedal in this video haha. That's why I'm playing the burst rhythm on the hat.

Any tips how to make my drum kit sound better? My bass sounds awesome, but my toms resonate waaay too much..

@ERICtheBUCK to be 100% honest with you my toms sound terrible in person, everything sounds different through a microphone. Really really spend a lot of time tuning them is the only cliche obvious advice I have. Mine are tuned to the same tightness on the batter and resonance heads so maybe try that? It makes them pretty.. fat sounding I guess you could say.
