Ibby is a great guy...a few years back he spent over a week here,carving wood and telling stories...he's hysterical....one of my favorite singers and players...

I last spoke with Jimmy here on YT a few years ago. He use to have his own channel on here but have since taken it down. Would you or anyone else here on YT happen to know if he's got another channel? Thank You for any & all replies! He seemed like such a great guy!

@sstevieb1 Me too, I miss Ibby. Did Ibby leave NGDB permanently due to health issues? I noticed that he rarely tours even as a solo performer.

The times I've seen NGDB since Jimmy Ibbotson left, Jeff Hanna sings lead vocals on Working Man, Long Hard Road, Fishin In The Dark, Face On The Cutting Room Floor and Dance little Jean. Yes, they do still play these songs. Jeff has a decent voice, but they're not very good at selecting which songs to play and I would rather hear one of their hits than a cover of the Beverly Hillbillies theme song. I prefer to hear the hits Ibby sang lead on such as High Horse.

Asilazi you aren't alone. I saw the NGDB a couple of weeks ago at Appalachian Uprising, sans Ibby. This song wasn't played nor was Working Man. Jeff Hanna said 'Dance Little Jean' was about a wedding they had been to... um, ok.. Although they did play well there was a spark missing.

Man I miss Ibby with the Dirt Band!. They're just not the same with out him.

Thanks for posting this.. I noticed later that many of my favorites were sung by Ibby.
