And you're one of the few believers that seem to get the notion that atheism isn't some sort of belief system comparable to religion. I hate that. They usually push your argument further & try to equate the disbelief in god or the supernatural with Stalin or Pol Pot. This makes them look really dumb & makes an intelligent discussion impossible.

1) I'm a catholic

2) I'm not a Republican

3) I don't judge a religion as false soley because of the fact that it's not just like mine.

4) I'm not finding an excuse for Christian atrocities by pointing out the atrocities of Atheists, but merely pointing out that Christians weren't the only ones to kill people for their beliefs.

Atheism is the lack of religious beliefs.

@ChristianWarriorUSA Bad, rehashed argument. Commies & Nazis had a FAITH. Atheism is a disbelief in one thing, not a utopian belief system like Communism or Christianity. Just because their religion didn't have a sky genie or other supernatural trappings doesn't make it much different than any other religion.They killed because of their faith & beliefs like any other religious fanatics.And the bad behavior of nonreligious people don't excuse the atrocities of Christianity anyway. Nothing does.
