Superb performance from everyone, the music achieving the appropriate drama and tension without exaggerated tempos...maestro Mehta deserves the accolade and ovation!

I swear that's Herr Arne Neckelmann, former principal cellist of the Malaysian Phil?... locks trimmed and looking somewhat a little beefy now, hardly surprising, since it must be hard to resist all the delicious tapas, paellas and Riojas over there in Spain. It's slower than I'm used to but there's a sensational steady rhtyhm happening here that's just captivating. No wonder this perf brought the house down. Wonderful!!

This is one of Beethoven's best pieces ever, or at least one of my favorites :) It must be seen live, such a spectacle!
