Folks, go back to work...tend to your families. It is an event that happens every 27.1 years. Which is why most 8-35 year olds are getting excited by this phenomenon (my educated guess), I am 31 and I indeed was initially very excited at 4am. Anyway, it is a star system called Epsilon Aurigae.

omg! i seen this object last summer with my mother as well:S in the netherlands - city Rotterdam. there were also no clouds, no airplanes, just that object. it was a silver ball( dont know if this one was silver) and the sun was shining on it, it did go slowely away, i tried to record it with my mobile phone, but it was to far away, but anyways, this is a great video:)
