  • Medicare was always government run. So its silly that she said that washington already controls medicare

  • Are you trying to say that in Canada and the UK, that doctors and emergency personnel make you wait while you die in the lobby waiting in line? I call BS. You should be ashamed of yourself for lying to fill your own agenda.

  • HMOs control destiny of patients more that government does. Medicare is doing well, and Medicaid fails because doctors won't see 'caid patients. I fail to understand doctors who don't understand that patient panels restricts patient choiuces.

  • Screw you CUNT! You doctors are the leading cause of death and you are lying you fat slut.

Go on a diet fat girl!

  • There is a great solution for physicians to kill this bill. We all stop accepting Medicaire/Medicaid! It is time for us to show the government who is in charge so we will simply cut them out. Private insurace or pay out of pocket will be the only way to pay for healthcare. Suck that Reid!

  • I just like the fact that when you pay you can immediately be treated with no wait and easier to save your life that way. If i ever had a heart attack, i could get treated and saved immediately and no wait time to risk my life.

Then I guess the bottom line is if you're happy, that's the important thing.

Personally, I would never put my trust in an insurance firm that will always value the bottom line over and above the patient's needs.

Truth of the matter is (apart from the US) that's how the rest of the developed world sees it too. Each to their own, I guess.

  • yeah i watched it but still the more the merrier i think. i would say both things are motivation, we moved from Canada due to pay cuts. Yet i would rather have more than less, so what i am greedy big deal. Doctors care about their patients but a cut show lack of appreciation for them. Money shows appreciation for hard work.

Sure, they can earn a lot more privately but if someone can't live on a 6 figure salary then something is very wrong somewhere.

Besides, what motivates a doctor? Salary or care of his/her patients? I would hope the latter.

You never told me if you've watched "Sicko." Even though when (if) you get around to watching it you'll disagree with it (family circumstance will no doubt taint your views) I'd like you to see what he has to say. It's a very revealing polemic.

  • Not bad but in US they can earn allot more and i think after the hard work from medical school to residency i believe they have earned their high pay. I am very concerned about my family and willing to fight for them. more Americans need to learn how to save and make money. Its high for somethings but a person votes for themselves and to their benefit and therefore i will say no and get others to as well even the senates if i get the chance to talk to them.
