@willg54 Thanks Will ! This is one of my more popular videos. Several people have built this fire pit. I used mine again a couple of nights ago. I even roasted a few marshmallows before putting it to bed for the night. Have a great day sir!

CC, this is a great video. Easy to follow, and very informative. Great editing. One of the better videos I've seen on youtube in a while. Thanks, Will from Colorado. We could use a fire pit like this right about NOW! :)

@khatzeye Hi khatzeye. I'm glad you enjoyed that. Congratulations on the new house!
Have a great day and stay safe.

Wow this was so simple! We're getting a house in May and I wanna build my own pit, thank you!
-
@Tapil Hi Tapil.
When it rains, some of the ash gets flushed out of the pit. Just dig the rest out with a hand trowel when it needs it.
-
How do you get rid of the ashes when it starts to pile up too high? Or does it just blow out on its own? Thanks!
-
I have been wanting a fire pit and you excelent video has motivated me tobuild one thanks!

@Junior48210 Thank you!
We made a fire a couple of nights ago and roasted some marshmallows. This little firepit a great way to entertain yourself on a chilly night.

Well done man well done indeed

@mavue Hi Mavue. The purpose is to separate the burning embers from the tree roots in the dirt. Ground fires can dry out and ignite underground tree roots. If you separate the roots from the heat, you're less likely to start an underground fire.
-
whats the purpose of the pebbles and rocks at the bottom?
-
@stuartvthomas Well thank you!
All of the music in my videos is "creative commons" music that was made for people to do with what they want. It cost$ nothing to download and use. Pretty cool deal for a YouTuber.

@Vangoop41 You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it!

@CrypticCRICKET Very Clever! Thank you for sharing :)

@davettalashley Song titles are always at the end of my videos. This song's title is: "Mississippi" by Loveshadow. (5:06 in video).
More recently I've been including the music info in the description below the video.

@valleart Thank you!
I live in sandals or barefoot much of the time down here and the result is a natural instinctive ability to move my feet out of the path of things that crunch toes. ;-)
-
Awesome video... your toes look very vulnerable amid the handling of bricks.
-
the racoon cleans out the ashes, cool !

love the no shoes
really cool, i really like that, think i might build 1 in my back yard, but this is a little small, would build it a little bigger if possible.

@GunsandNoise I hope you enjoy the project. I built mine smaller becauswe I don't like tending big long burning fires. Just little ones for quick cooking or a couple of drinks by the fire.
