NOTICE: Pics were taken from the first week when I had my cam. So they are not that great.

If fast Auto Focus Live View is important, there is no other choice, besides A300/A350. If you're looking for the absolute best picture quality (in the same price range), look to Canon or Nikon. I have an a350 and love it. In reality, none of the 3 companies make bad DSLRs, they all shoot good enough for "normal" people.

Im gonna go for the A300 purely cos the D60 doesn't have live view and I dont wanna be stuck behind a view finder all the time.

Wondering what settings you used for shooting the orange slices and water photos. Also how you controlled the lighting and reflection

Don't remember the settings but I just got every light I found and took some white paper and then placed them around the bowl.
