automatic cuts to the public school system!?!?! what are you a fucking retard? why would you do that? why pick on public schools? they look at them like easy targets, it pisses me off! great... so now education's quality will go down even further and the schools will just keep pumping these retards out into the world to continue this Möbius strip of stupidity we call government. brilliant, so later on we can have more of the dumb shits that put us in this disaster in the first place... nice

They are not "picking" on schools. Public school funding is a mandatory percentage of tax receipts. If those go down, so does the funding.

Im sorry but this post is retarded. CA schools are guaranteed almost 1/2 of every dollar collected by the state in tax receipts. If tax revenues drop, then so will the "cut" that the public school system gets. For future reference, 1/2 of nothing is nothing. Now, you cannot raise taxes on an economy that is already overburdened with them so how would you propose giving schools more money where there is none?

If you ask me, it seems like Jerry Brown just threatened Califorians. "If voters reject the higher taxes. he will automatically cut school funding" Seems like a Threat to me.

Too many people with not enough jobs. And a bureaucracy and regulatory agencies that view businesses as evil and scheming welcome to the new California. We should vote that as our official name. New California

Cut long term welfare. Let those roaches run to another state. In an emergency situation, only the strong survive. Welcome to life.

I agree with you 100%, but the reason why they keep picking on schools is because it is a massive expense. Shaving off 10% from public schools would be more savings than cutting almost every welfare in the state combined. But like I said, I agree with you that it shouldn't be targeted so easily.
