A gift made for my grandparents 50th anniversary, which will be celebrated with a good ol' family reunion. After my grandma sent an email to my father requesting that the "entertainment night" of the reunion be taken over by the grandkids, my father bought me a new camera just so that I could make her a video. It was originally meant to be a Frank Sinatra music video using "Under My Skin" that dealt with my Coca-Cola addiction. To make it more "grandparents" oriented, it was changed to this, though I was sure to keep in the Coca-Cola addiction as well. My grandparents (and my dad's side of the family overall) are fairly old-school conservative, so a rated R script had to be toned down to a cheesier PG so that awkwardness will not ensue during premiere. Family Guy style jokes are used here, and due to the musical bit at the end I named the vid based off of the "Road to" episodes.
Despite the fact that I am actually addicted to Coke, I acted the whole "coke trip" scene to make it more amusing. Probably one of the worst performances of my video career, though luckily it's a minor part. Unlike other movies I've done, this is mainly a dialogue movie, the first I've really done, so I was worried at first at how well the vid would flow overall and fit together. I'm pleased with the results for the most part. Once premiere night comes around I'll be sure to update this description with details on how it went.
This is awesome bissell!
