Dennis MacPherson of http://www.macphersonguitarworks.com playing a ca. 2003 Gibson Les Paul Standard in a dark Honeyburst finish, with a flamed maple top cap. It almost looks a little like "Ice Tea" finish without all the red and a lot like the Slash "Appetite for Destruction" model, but with a darker edge burst. The top cap is Maple AA grade. The back section is Mahogany, as is the neck. The Gibson Les Paul Standard was weight-relieved, by drilling several holes in the body, (so it is not completely like a boat anchor) but is an un-chambered version. This guitar weighs 9.8 pounds, so it is not light, but many Les Paul Standard models are well over 10 pounds. On the other hand many vintage guitars are actually quite light in weight. The "Standard" version lasted like this until 2006 when the model was "Chambered" starting in 2007. Nickel bridge here, not the newer Tone Pros brand locking bridge, or the Grover Locking Tuners, as the 2008 version has. The pickups here are two nickel finish Burstbucker Pro Humbuckers. Cream colored pickguard is slightly different than a new pickguard, as it was made by a different supplier. The screw hole was slightly back further nearest the pickup ring and the color slightly darker, as well. The guitar also featured a creme-colored plastic jack plate, switch ring surround and pickup rings. The amplifier is a red combination Fender Blues Junior stack with 2-12" speakers. The cabinet was custom made by Dennis Mac. One 12" speaker in the combo and the other in the DM speaker cabinet that it rests on.
