Straight Talk LG Optimus Q vs Straight Talk Nokia E71

Last week I bought a new Straight Talk LG Optimus Q phone to replace my tried & true Nokia E71, it was a mistake. While the Android 2.3 Gingerbread based LG Optimus Q has lots of bells & whistles the fact that I could only make & receive calls from 1 window in my house and the battery needed to be charged half way thru the day made the phone useless to me. The Nokia E71 on the other hand is slower then the LG but the fact that I have no dead spots, a doc editor, turn by turn GPS, sync to 3 email accts, etc... and a battery that can last for days between charges makes it the phone for me. Straight Talk next day aired a simm card to me so I can fire the Nokia back up, AWESOME job!!

Yeah, I bought an E71 the first month they came out on ST. I used it for about 5 months and then sold it online to get an Android. Though I do love Android, I do miss using my E71 at times. I have thought about buying another Nokia E71 again. The E71 is of far superior quality then ANY entry level Android phone.

@csy30076 The E71 is an awesome phone, I just wish it were a little faster but the positives far outweigh the negatives. ST had the E71's for $49 just before Christmas, I should have bought a couple.

@1993kmiller Pittsfield, PA? If so probably not. I'm in the Jamestown area and the Sprint service is terrible here but my Nokia works awesome,

Just so you know it does not need to be a unlocked iphone. Any stock, factory locked AT&T phone will work.

Android is better you can do more stuff on it. The e71 has a charger that looks like a head phone. That can break easily.
