Warhol figured out the art game and fed it back to the the hotsy totsy world of collectors and critics, wrapped in everyday packages. Its much more complex than you'll ever be in this lifetime. @redibeaver It's not complex. Carpets in the streets has an obvious meaning of equality, and money for everybody. I used to think about this stuff when I was 13. It's the idea of equality. But you're probably right I once found one of his books in a library and it seemed very interesting. This guy is great. He was wise enough to be able to make a joke of the whole economical system and make a living out of the simplest things.
